Overview:

            With over sixteen years of experience handling both simple and complex litigation involving the dissolution of the family unit, our Family Law Practice Group understands that this may be the most emotionally charged situation you have ever had to face.  Our approach to our clients is one of patience and understanding.  We realize that our clients have many questions and much apprehension regarding their particular situation.  We will help guide you through the process and present the most realistic and practical approach to your unique circumstances.  Our Family Law Practice Group offers a number of services that undoubtedly will meet your individual needs including the following:

Litigation:

            Although not the preferred choice, our Family Law Practice Group has successfully litigated numerous complex cases involving custody, asset distribution, alimony, child support, division of retirement assets, and domestic violence issues among other unique issues that may arise from case to case.  Our experience makes us better prepared to handle your case in the most efficient manner.  We will present you with realistic expectations and will work tirelessly to present your case in a light most favorable to you before the court.

Uncontested Divorce:

            Our group offers a low cost efficient method wherein we will help you get through the process as painlessly as possible.  The uncontested divorce however, presupposes that parties are able to come up with an agreement regarding all issues present in their particular situation.  We can only represent one party but will present the necessary paperwork to your spouse in such a way that they will also feel confident that they understand each step.

Mediation:

            Based on our years of experience litigating Family Law issues, we can help you reach practical solutions with the other party in your case.  We have helped couples successfully work through their family related issues, which in turn has allowed them to complete the process in an uncontested matter and further helped them lead successful lives post-process.  Although not certified through the State, we have successfully helped numerous couples find practical ways to resolve their domestic issues without litigation.

Collaborative Law:

            The Collaborative Law Process is one in which couples agree that they will not litigate their issues.  An attorney certified in Collaborative Law represents each party.  The goal is to resolve issues by coming together in a succession of meetings to find solutions which best fit each family’s circumstances.  A successful case will result in a well thought out agreement between the parties, which is ultimately presented to the courts as the basis of your divorce, post divorce or unwed court order.

Unbundled Services:

            For those clients who want just a little help along the way, our Family Law Practice Group offers, at an hourly rate, the help you are looking for to successfully make your way through the process.  From representing you in court for a single hearing, to preparing your paperwork so you can effectively present your own case in court, to reviewing proposals or paperwork from the opposing party in your case, we will help you along the way.
